Designing a scalable academic platform for a global audience
The American University of Greece Global Campus is a fully online academic institution created to extend the reach of The American College of Greece to an international audience. The platform needed to support rapid growth, evolving academic structures, and high-stakes digital marketing campaigns targeting students in the US and Europe.
The Challenge
The website had to communicate academic credibility while supporting aggressive growth plans, including the rollout of more than 20 new programs within a year. At the same time, the structure of degrees, courses, and tuition models was expected to change frequently, creating operational pressure on the marketing and admissions teams.
Program discovery was redesigned around clarity and intent, making it easier for prospective students to understand offerings, compare options, and take action. To support recruitment, we introduced optimized program landing pages focused on lead generation, while keeping the institutional homepage aligned with academic credibility. A custom tuition calculator was introduced to help students understand costs early in the decision-making process, reducing friction and improving lead quality.
AI-assisted workflows were used internally to support content modeling, pattern consistency across programs, and scalability planning. This helped ensure that future academic growth would not require structural redesigns.
